Priorities

Repairing our streets

I've kept road conditions front and center. Concord has a steady repaving program underway on Clayton Road, Treat Boulevard, Willow Pass Road and Concord Boulevard, with more residential paving to come. I'm also backing interconnected traffic signals to keep traffic moving.

Keeping neighborhoods safe

Recruiting and retaining qualified staff is a top priority. Our police chief reports sworn positions are fully staffed, with additional trainees in the academy. Concord also opened its Real Time Intelligence Center to help officers respond to and solve crimes with better information.

Safe, clean parks and playgrounds

I supported improvements at Newhall Community Park to improve water quality and restore habitat, and I've backed the events that make Todos Santos Plaza Concord’s outdoor living room.

Senior and youth programs

I've supported senior mobility through Concord Go! and GoGo Concord, and youth camps, swim lessons and a Youth Scholarship Program that helps income-eligible kids take part.

Real progress on homelessness

Concord is making measurable progress on homelessness. The unsheltered count fell from 241 in 2023 to 91 in 2026. I've backed a dedicated CORE outreach team and partnerships with organizations like Hope Solutions on rapid rehousing and housing support.

EXPERIENCE THAT DELIVERS

My parents came to the Bay Area looking for opportunity, fell in love with this corner of California and raised me here in Concord. It's where I grew up, where my friends and my family are, where my mother still lives. It's the community I've devoted my life to serving. 


I've watched Concord grow and change over the decades, through good times and hard ones, and that long view is exactly what I bring to the council. I know this city because it's home.


There's more to do — and I'll keep at it. I want the very best for Concord and my neighbors. I'd be honored to have your vote.

Before the City Council

Before her election, Laura was an active member of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce and the Concord Ambassadors, and a graduate of the Chamber's Leadership Concord program. She holds a bachelor's degree in city and environmental planning from UC Davis, with a minor in environmental geology.
